Snow White

"this year they discovered i had a serious neurological condition, and i faced the very real possibility that i might die. i began tackling the thing that scared me most - namely my own death - by planning my funeral the way i'd like to have it. one of my conditions was that i be buried in full costume - including hair, makeup and shoes. i wanted to be snow white for all of eternity, so that's what i went to work on. there are no snow white costume patterns for women (well...no good ones), so i developed my own using regular dress patterns and the simplicity pattern company's child-sized snow white pattern. the first frame from this shoot was a bird's-eye view of me, lying against a lace pillow with happy, surrounded by rose petals and smoking a cigarette. when mom saw it, she gasped, 'are you supposed to be having sex with that gnome???'"
