"this year sequoia court had a medieval dinner. i'm not much for medieval dinners, as the job's daughters also have one each year. but stephanie had just moved to b.c., so we decided to take her to it. she'd originally said she'd like to be a wench, but quickly took it back because she thought it would be too much work for me. i ended up having Rod go through her clothes looking for sizes, and made the costume as a surprise. mom's wicked witch of the west costume was almost medieval as it was, so i just made her a new headpiece to go with it. i thought the gypsy costume was cool, though, so i made that for myself. i was in no way prepared for the blouse to be entirely see-through!"
