1950s dinner 2002 lil as a 1950s teenager "sequoia court's main project each year is a theme dinner.  this year, they decided to have a 1950s dinner.  for several years now, i thought anybody who collected costumes should have one good costume from each decade, so this was my opportunity to make my perfect 1950s costume.  i'm not a huge poodle fan, but i love my scotties so that's what ended up on my skirt.  the crinoline underneath is from mom's graduation dress, which she wore in 1960.  ingrid and i had to repose this photo, as my fingers did not originally cover the titles of the books and you could see that one was the 1971 collier's encyclopedia yearbook, covering the year 1970."
