"this is the first year i never gave a moment's thought to what rob or cam would do for costumes. free to do as i pleased, i decided to fill a long-time dream of being eric draven for halloween. this is far and away my sentimental favourite costume, and the only one i'm tempted to re-use. i became quite obsessed with the idea of being the character - i watched the movie many times, re-read the original comic book, and poured over photos, details of the on-set shooting of brandon lee and even his autopsy report. i wanted to know what it took to make someone a vigilante killer - and, after all, brandon was also tragically killed just prior to his wedding. the only thing i didn't do to prepare was do a test run of my makeup - the first time i 'became' eric draven was halloween morning. the following day, our photos were posted on the office intranet. until then, many people still didn't know who was under the makeup."
